ProSystem

ProSystem is one of the leading Atari 7800 emulators out there. Atari 7800 was the first console in the world with backward compatibility. Some of the most popular games you can enjoy through this emulator include Donkey Kong Jr., Double Dragon, Ms. Pac-Man, Robotron: 2084 and Pole Position II – the list is way longer though. The emulator does a fairly good job at maintaining controls and replicating the old school gaming experience. It has no sacrificed accuracy for speed, so the overall experience is almost intact.

ProSystem is not compatible with too many systems – in fact, it only works on Microsoft Windows systems. It was written in C++ and can handle both PAL TV and NTSC standards. With no updates or new releases over the past years, chances are the system has been abandoned. You can still find it over the Internet and it is free to download and use.
