Boycott Advance was designed with one and only purpose – to handle GameBoy Advance software and provide a perfect experience. For this reason, it is probably the top emulator for such software. It can run a wide variety of commercial games, yet users may experience a few surprises – not all games out there can run properly. In fact, there seems to be a problem with new releases only. At this point, compatibility is less likely to be upgraded because the emulator is given as freeware. As a direct consequence, while users can report bugs, they will most likely be ignored.
While Boycott Advance is great with GameBoy Advance, it cannot handle the traditional GameBoy. In terms of features and functionalities, it will provide excellent speeds on supported operating systems, great support for GBA features, as well as just enough support for GBA DirectSound and GameBoy PSG. It runs on most operating systems.
